Dochula Pass: Ascend to 3,100m for a breathtaking view of the Himalayan peaks,
framed by 108 memorial stupas.
● The Fertility Temple: A gentle walk through rice paddies leads to Chimi Lhakhang,
the temple of the "Divine Madman," famous for its unique blessings.
● The Glacial Valley: Arrive in Phobjikha, a stunning U-shaped glacial valley. It is the
winter home of the rare Black-Necked Cranes.

Nature Trail: Enjoy a sunset hike through the Gangtey Nature Trail, passing through
pine forests and crane nesting grounds.

The High Road: Cross the Pelela Pass (3,420m) into Central Bhutan. Stop at the
Chendebjee Chorten, modeled after the famous Boudhanath Stupa in Nepal.
● The Vanguard of Warriors: Reach Trongsa Dzong, Bhutan's largest and most
impressive fortress, which controls the only path between the East and West. Explore
the historic watchtower museum overlooking the canyon.

Weaving Traditions: Cross the Yotongla Pass to reach the Chumey Valley, where
you can watch weavers create "Yathra"—traditional vibrant wool textiles.
● Bumthang Valley: Often compared to Switzerland, this is Bhutan's most sacred
valley.
● Bells and Brews: Visit the Jakar Dzong ("The White Bird Fortress") and end the day
with a tasting at the local Swiss Cheese Factory and the Red Panda Beer Brewery.

Ancient Footsteps: Walk through a trio of sacred sites: Jambay Lhakhang (7th
century), Kurjey Lhakhang (where a Guru left his body imprint), and Tamshing
Lhakhang.
● Mebar Tsho: Visit the mysterious Burning Lake, where a 15th-century saint is said to
have emerged from the water with a lit butter lamp and sacred treasures.
● Overnight in Bumthang.

Scenic Retreat: Journey back across the mountains to the sub-tropical valley of
Punakha.
● The Palace of Happiness: Visit Punakha Dzong, arguably the most beautiful building
in Bhutan, situated at the confluence of the "Male" and "Female" rivers.
● Suspension Bridge: Take a walk across one of the longest suspension bridges in the
country, draped in prayer flags.

The Icon: Drive back to Paro for the highlight of the trip: a hike to Taktsang
Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Perched 900m above the valley floor on a sheer cliff, this is
Bhutan's most sacred site.

Farewell Dinner: After descending, enjoy a traditional Bhutanese farewell dinner.
