Bhutan Bon Voyage Tours and Treks

Bhutan Bon Voyage Tours & Treks is an officially licensed inbound tour operator, registered under the Tourism Council of Bhutan and headquartered in Thimphu, the capital city of the Kingdom we call home. We were founded on a straightforward but demanding belief: that Bhutan deserves to be experienced properly. Not rushed through, not reduced to a checklist of monasteries and mountain views, but encountered with the depth, care, and local knowledge that transforms a holiday into something a traveler carries for the rest of their life. Our primary commitment is to you, and equally to Bhutan. Every itinerary we craft is designed to deliver an uncompromised experience while honouring the GNH values that make this Kingdom unlike anywhere else on earth. Sustainable. Cultural. Alive.

Our team is entirely Bhutanese – guides, drivers, trekking staff, and nature specialists who were born in the valleys they show you, trained in the culture they interpret, and genuinely invested in the impression Bhutan makes on every visitor who passes through.

When you travel with Bhutan Bon Voyage, you are not purchasing a tour package. You are being welcomed by people who consider it a personal responsibility to show you their country at its finest.

Our Commitment to Responsible Travel

Bhutan Bon Voyage operates under a simple doctrine: we will never recommend a journey that harms what makes it worth taking. In practice, that means concrete commitments — not aspirational language.

Our Commitments
  • Community-first accommodation: We prioritize locally owned farmhouses, community lodges, and Bhutanese-managed hotels over international chains. At least 60% of accommodation revenue stays within the community visited.
  • No plastic single-use pledge: All our treks operate under a strict leave-no-trace policy. We provide reusable water systems and conduct departure litter sweeps on every trekking route.
  • Cultural briefing mandatory: Every guest receives a cultural orientation before their first monastery or dzong visit. Respectful behavior is the minimum standard – we aim for genuine understanding.
  • Photography ethics: We teach and enforce a clear photography etiquette with local people, ceremonies, and sacred spaces. Permission before lens, always.
  • Carbon offset partnership: We partner with Bhutan’s Royal Society for Protection of Nature for direct reforestation contributions on all tours over 7 days.
