Itinerary
Kuzuzangpola. Your journey begins with a breathtaking flight over the Himalayas. Upon landing, meet your dedicated guide and driver who will be your companions throughout the trip.
Explore Rinpung Dzong, the "Fortress on a Heap of Jewels," a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture overlooking the Pa Chhu River. Visit the National Museum (Ta Dzong), a former watchtower now housing sacred relics and antiques that tell the story of Bhutan’s rich history.
A scenic 1.5-hour drive brings you to Thimphu, the world’s only capital city without traffic lights.
Overnight in Thimphu.
Gaze upon the Buddha Dordenma, one of the largest Buddha statues in the world, gilded in gold and overlooking the entire valley. Join the locals at the National Memorial Chorten, where the elderly circumambulate the stupa in a rhythmic prayer for world peace.
Meet the unique national animal at the Royal Takin Preserve, then immerse yourself in local life at Simply Bhutan, a living museum where you can try traditional archery and taste local spirits.

Today we drive to the Dochu La Pass 3,100m for a panoramic view of the snow-capped Himalayas and the 108 memorial stupas. Enjoy a moderate hike through forests of hemlock and rhododendron to the Lungchutse Temple, offering a 360-degree view of unclimbed peaks.
En route to the fertile valleys of Punakha, stop at Lamperi Botanical Park to explore Bhutan's diverse flora.
Overnight in Punakha.
Visit the Punakha Dzong, arguably the most beautiful fortress in Bhutan. Set at the confluence of the "Male" and "Female" rivers, it is the site of royal weddings and historical coronations. Feel the thrill of crossing one of the longest suspension bridges in Bhutan, draped in colorful prayer flags.
Take a gentle walk through rice paddies to Chimi Lhakhang (The Temple of Fertility), a temple dedicated to the "Divine Madman," famous for its unique blessings.
Overnight in Punakha.
Return to Paro and visit Dungtse Lhakhang, a rare circular temple chained to the ground to "subdue a demon," featuring some of the kingdom's finest murals.
This evening, go beyond the tourist trail. Join a local family at a traditional farmhouse for a Bhutanese Hot Stone Bath, followed by a home-cooked dinner where you can learn the secrets of Bhutanese cuisine.

Today, you hike to the world-famous Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched precariously on a cliff 900m above the valley floor. It is said Guru Padmasambhava flew here on the back of a tigress.
On the way back, stop at Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan (7th century), to offer a final prayer of gratitude and blessing.
Overnight in Paro.
After a final Bhutanese breakfast, your guide and driver will escort you to Paro International Airport, where they bid you Tashi Delek (Good Luck) for your journey home. You leave with more than photos, you leave with a piece of Bhutanese happiness.
